Today I decided to switch things up from my usual outfit post to give a recap about my #tbcson experience. So without further ado here goes!
The first day of the conference was Thursday, and we had a welcome party sponsored by Vera Bradley. It was held at The Palmetto Cafe, which is located inside Belmond Charleston Place. We all mingled and got to know each other with sips in one hand and snacks in the other. Ps how cute are these napkins? AND so true for the weekend!
The next day was a longggg one. It consisted of multiple speakers, lunch, and then a meet and greet with all of the brands that help sponsor The Blog Societies’ Conference. My friend and I were kind of joking that the meet and greet felt like sorority recruitment! You’re having to sell yourself in a small elevator speech, but also trying to sound ‘real’ and have normal conversations! It can be a tough gig sometimes. We got gifted tonsssss of products, and I can’t wait to show them to y’all over the next few weeks. However, my three favorite brands were Kendra Scott, Moon and Lola, and Swoozies.
The day started off here at the Riviera Theater where we had speakers. The speeches mainly consisted of advice to help grow our brand, and you better believe it I took some serious notes 😉
Then we had the meet and greet with the 20 brands in attendance. Here’s a peak into the craziness.
Just a huge room with a ton of bloggers and brands talking 🙂
Swoozie’s layout.. I mean how freakin’ cute?! I want to throw a party just to order all of this stuff!

The next day was an early one! We had breakfast at EIGHT am (too early for this girl) sponsored by Kendra Scott. And per usual, I had three liquids in front of me… water, coffee, and juice!
Next up were the workshops. I attended the Photography, LiketoKnow. It, and Founder workshops. This portion of the conference was new this year, but oh so helpful. I received hands on experience using manual on my own camera (it’s been a long time coming y’all), was taught the best/most successful hashtags to use for LiketoKnow. It, and was given templates for blog contracts and a standardized equation for sponsored blog posts. I received a ton of vital information, and I honestly wish I was able to attend all of the workshops. I hope next year we have two days of workshops!
LOL- me seriously taking notes during the Photography workshop. Told y’all I was serious about learning how to use manual
We even went outside to get the full experience of using manual outdoors in the shade/sunlight.
After workshops, we had lunch sponsored by Cosmedix. It was delicious, and another amazing opportunity to meet more bloggers.
The conference ended on Saturday, but I stayed until Monday morning to enjoy Charleston without the stress of a schedule to adhere to. I plan on giving a recap of my time spent in Charleston (completely separate from all things #tbscon related). I’ll share where we ate, stayed, and the activities we did! Stay tuned, and thanks for stopping by 🙂
I’m headed home this weekend with Dave to spend some time on the beach. After working 5 shifts in 6 days, I’m ready for a little R&R. I also went to the Kenny Chesney concert last night, and it was so much fun. But probably the best part was getting McDonald’s TWICE yesterday. Once on the way to the concert and an ice cream pit stop on the way home. Now to the gym I go today…
